Quick question: What other program can i use to get images from my Scanner? Its a el chepo, i mean Umax Astra 2000U....I went to umax's site and now they seem to want to sell the same sh!ty software that was free a while ago...

you can virtually use any program that uses the "acquire image" function. I highly recommend irfanview.
