I just got a second monitor setup on my system and I want my start menu extended onto the second monitor. My desktop is extended there so I have to drag things over manually, is there any program that will handle this?

Mods: I just got another monitor and would like a reply quickly which is why I posted it in OT

Thanks for the links but I tried searching those and couldn't really find anything that answered my question.

Also, when I'm playing a game on screen one, how can I switch to the second screen without minimizing the game?

I could be wrong here, so you are going to want to check this out further, but- back when I used dual monitors I was told repeatedly that if your're running a game on one monitor you can't do anything on the other. Something with the way the video card works. I'm not positive though.

and you still have to alt-tab to use the other monitor when playing games. I leave all my IM's on the other monitor so i can see if people have something important to say

Does this only work for certain video cards? I could never get this to work with my ti4400.

I don't understand exactly what you couldn't get to work?

When playing a game, the game is on the primary monitor, and i can see the progress of anything I put on the 2nd monitor (IM's, FTP transfers, etc.)

In order to DO anything on the 2nd monitor I still have to alt-tab out of the game, then I have control of both monitors and the game sits in the taskbar

ultramon is what you need just google it

guives you a taskbar on the scond monitor, the "start" button will only appear on 1 of them just drag it where you choose
