quick question! repairing HOME xp with PRO xp cd

would I be able to fix a win xp HOME OS using a PRO cd? this is in reference to booting from the cd and using the repair option.

You will probably end up with an XP Pro installation. If you have a license for XP Pro, I don't see why you wouldn't .

well this is on an HP laptop. it wont boot up and i've read a possible solution would be to repair the OS with non hp winxp cd. only problem is i only have xp pro.
