Is the gaming performance the same between the Radeon 9700 and the Radeon 9700 AIW?

I am wanting a new video card (upgrading from Radeon 8500LE) and I also want a good TV Capture card....

Sooo..... should I buy 2 separate cards (9700 and TV Card) or should I just get a 9700 AIW?

THanks!

i would go for a 9700np and o/c it and then get a el cheapo capture card. should save some money but you would loose a pci slot. but that is no big deal. the 9700 AIW and 9700 should be about the same performance wise

Buy the All-In-Wonder if you can afford the price difference between a plain-jane R9700Pro and the AIWR9700 Pro. The 3D core is the same on both cards, and performance is as well. However, if you find an awesome deal on a 9700Pro, just pick up a $50 ASUS 880 TV Tuner, and you'll have capture capability that rivals that of the AIW's Rage Theater chip.

Peace

Unless you need dual head, the AIW 9700 is a good value over a 9700 + Seperate card considering the remote, native component output and software package, no cheapy TV card will give you that feature set. If you won't use the full feature set, a seperate card may be a good value.

Excuse me...add pro after 9700 in my post:)

The AIW 9700Pro is the only card I have ever seen available, and it has performance equal to that of the 9700Pro, just with the added TV tuner capabilities etc.

It is much more than just a Radeon 9700 Pro with a tuner slapped on. Much, much more.

The gaming perofmance of a 9700Pro AIW is better than that of the 9700, and equal to that of the 9700 Pro.
