Quick Question on Which DVI Cable to Get

My monitor has this DVI input: here whereas my Geforce 6800 has this DVI output: here. A quick glance obviously shows that they are a bit different.

What cable am I supposed to buy so that I can hook this thing up? I did a bit of googling and it looks like I just need a regular male to male dvi-d cable right? (something like this? If so, are there any places that sell this for a reasonable price?

A link or explanation would greatly help, thanks!

i got mine at radioshack
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index...d=2102582&cp=&kw=dvi&parentPage=search
everything else was crazy expensive

and yea, thats the right cable in the pic... well similar
look for dvi-d single link
the difference in the flat-plate pin is because if it had the other pins around it, it would support an analog signal as well
just remember dvi-d single link.. dual-link is more expensive and wasted for a pc monitor, unless its an uber monitor.. btw what monitor u have?

ah thanks for the info, i'll pick one up tomorrow

i have a 19" benq t903, picked it up when OD had it for 50% off

Unless your going to use 1080p single link will do. If your going to do 1920x1200 or more use dual link.

You can't "use dual link" by your own decision. You MUST provide whatever the display unit wants. 1920x1200 displays so far have ALL been single-link.
