quick question on what drivers need to be installed for a amd 761 board with a via southbridge?

I have the fic ad11 but don't have the cd's that came with the board. Just wondering what drivers to install for the board under Windows Me. Its running fine now, but 3d games performance is substandard right now. Like quake 3 demo127 100fps for normal setting 640*480 and geforce 2 pro.

just go over to amd & grab the agp driver there.

As for the soutbridge,just use the winme drivers.

I have an AMD751&Via 686A, I use the Via IDE drivers, and the AMD AGP Miniport. That's all you should need.

You can use the Machine.INF, and the USB Filter from Via to if you want, but neither seemed to make much difference (The USB Filter isn't actually part of the 4in1s)

Do not use Via's AGP Miniport, and I've had mixed results with the IRQ router I'd dodge it.

amd agp miniport drivers
and then some via drivers, can i just install the via 4in1?

No
Don't install the Via 4in1.

If you do that it will overwrite the AMD miniport, and you do not want a Via AGP miniport with an AMD north bridge.

Just use the AMD AGP driver. You don't even need the IDE driver.

all you really need is the agp driver that i provided above,the rest is detected & running fine on the drivers Winme provided,you dont need any extra Via drivers.
