Quick question on Ram

I have one 512mb module of DDR PC3500 RAM of an unknown brand. I'm running a Nforce2 with a max RAM speed of 3200. I'm looking to buy more RAM. Can I get a 3200 chip to run with the 3500 chip since the 3500 chip is running at 3200 speeds anyway? And does brand matter since I don't know what mine is? I'm looking a Kingston 512mc PC3200 on NewEgg.

On a side note, the RAM I have now has a copper heat sink clip on it.

I believe it's fine as long as you're not trying to pull off dual channel mode. Just make sure that you use ram timings that both sticks can handle.

You can't really be sure whether it works or not until you have tried it. Some memory combinations work, some don't.

Edit: But if you get some memory from good name memory manufacturer it *should* work. Most shops will let you return the RAM for a full refund if it doesn't work. But ask them beofre buying to be sure. Whether you buy PC3500 or PC3200 shouldn't matter as long as it's running at 400MHz.
