Quick question on Microsoft XBOX live.

Pardon me if this question is silly... but I am new to the XBOX scene.

I have recently purchased a XBOX live subscription. Can multiple players play on XBOX live using the same console at the same time.

My XBOX has 4 controllers and my friends (who are also new to XBOX) asked me this question.

Please let me know.

I know I can't with my x360 using call of duty 2, but IDK about other games. I wish COD2 would let you though 🙁

How about Halo 2? Any idea?

Also, I have a XBOX and not a 360.

Thanks.

Found the answer somewhere on the internet.

Q : It supports 16 players, but how many screens?

A : A game may have up to 16 players with each player using their own TV screen on Xbox Live or System Link. It is also possible to have 16 players using split-screen, as before. Players can even use split-screen over Live, with one Live account and three guests sharing a TV.

Cool I have to give it a try with PGR3 this weekend, but I wish I could do COD2, that game ROCKS! Stupid programming issues 🙁

It completely depends on the game. For instance...

Halo 2, you can have one guest playing.
Perfect Dark Zero, you can have three guests playing.
PGR3 and COD2, nada. 🙁

You can only have people come on as guests and you wont be able to play in ranked games. On Halo 2 you can play with 3 guests and you can only play in a few of the gametypes, the unranked ones. Some of the other games allow guests too. Also, only the main person can use a headset.

EDIT: You can also play with more than one acct. on one xbox, so both can play together in any game.
