Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences with a minor in Economics

Bachelor of Arts in Political Science

which degree is more useless? I just found out I can graduate earlier with the econ one, but I feel so dirty for getting a general studies degree. At the same time I'm not sure if there is much difference between Political Science and Social Science, and I could even tack on the Econ minor for free.

Probably social science. But what exactly is in the curriculum for that. I've never heard of a social science major.

It is basically a general studies major. One reason I thought it may be better is because the econ minor could get my foot in the door for more jobs if one thought that Social and Political science were equally useless (which is my thought at the moment). I won't get the econ minor with the poli sci major.

PS is at least somewhat useful. You could be a paralegal or go into writing or something. A GenEd degree means you took 4 years of college.

Unless you're doing engineering/science, 90%+ (being conservative here) of the stuff you learn in your major will never ever be used in your lifetime again.

Social Science. Poly Sci actually has some potential if you're willing to work hard/be a sycophant to the right people.

Personally I prefer something in the real sciences.

From what I understand your major doesn't matter at all for law. In fact some schools use almost exclusively a GPA + LSAT algorithm of some sort.

I agree with the statement that they are both worthless, that's why I'm thinking of going with social science because at least with the econ minor I could apply for business jobs with at least a touch of legitimacy. I also graduate 5 months sooner.

Anyway because I'm not hearing that social science is radically worse than political science I think I might just graduate early.
