I've acquired hosting and recently registered a domain, how long will it take before Ithe domain is activated?
 
Who is doing the DNS for your domain? (The hosting company or yourself). The domain needs to be pointing to a DNS server that has an A record that points to your websites IP.
 
My hosting company, I used the same company to register and host so I would assume that they would set the domain to the right DNS.
