Quick question on Dell LCD Manufacturers

Quick question on Dell LCD Manufacturers:

Does anybody know what manufacturers dell uses for their LCD parts? Specifically their 2001FP and 2005FP line of LCDs.

Testing your detailed knowledge a bit further...
Does Dell do any of the assembly of parts or is all that done at the original manufacturer's plant?

Are all 2005FPs LG.Philips LCD LM201U04?

I'm guessing by the lack of responses that no one here is expert enough to know this type of detailed information...

I have heard that they are AU Optronics panels, but do not quote me on this. What I do know about Dell LCD FP displays is that the latest models are made for gaming! Excellent response times and Anandtech rates them as "The gaming LCD to beat."

Well I just found the answer to my question in a forum.

LG-Phillips manufactures the LCD panel. Benq puts together 2001FP using LG-Phillips panel.

There are only couple of big LCD panel manufacturers in the world. But there are lot of companies that put together LCD monitor using panels from these few panel manufacturers.

Recap: Benq is the OEM for Dell and manufactures 2001FP. 2001FP uses LG-Phillips panel. Benq uses these panel to make 2001FP.

WHEREAS:

AU Optronics Corp or AUO is another big one. They make most of the 17inch 16ms 16.2million color panel you see on various 17inch LCDs. AUO used to be part of Acer but broke off. Benq also used to be part of Acer.
