quick question on cracking xp admin pw

Former employee locked out PC and we need to get access. I have a boot CD that is supposed to only take 4 hours to crack it but the guy's server is (no sh!t) 128-CHARACTERS long. Any idea how long this will take to brute force? Or is there another way in? Besides installing another OS or removing the hdd and making it a slave on another system, i mean.

I had to do the same thing few weeks ago, found a linux boot floppy on the net which included a program to change any local account passwords into anything you needed
I bookmarked the page but then my hd at work crashed

is this a local computer or on the server?

Local computer. A network guru said it may take 2 weeks or more to crack 128 character password. Ouch.

I think it would take a lot longer than that. 128 character? Especially if they use not just letters but numbers or other non-letter symbols.

2 weeks is a conservative guess.

I use the "Offline NT Password and Registry Editor" found on the (free) Ultimate Boot CD. It's always worked great for me. Just follow the directions.
