Quick question on battery backup for computers...

If you only have a laptop, would you buy a UPS or just a surge protector? I was just thinking about this since I'm looking for something and thought that since the laptop already runs on batteries it'd be cheaper just to get a good surge protector... no?

sounds good...although a good UPS would probably help you out more in a power spike than a surge protector....I don't know though, I'm just speculating

Most offer both in one these days and are cheap enough to get them.

Depends on how long the battery life is and as kyparrish hinted at, some of the more expensive backups have voltage regulation....

Also, fix the title before you get some Aunt Jemima responses😀
