All for 665+ Tax. 22" Monitor is looking great.

This is for my friend who knows nothing about computers. Its an optiplex but do you think it will run a 9800GT in it?

Also the RAM...normal Ram?

Check the manual for the system. You should be able to find out specs like PS wattage and slot configuration.

Did you check Vostro configurations also?

The 9800GT is more of a power hog than the 9600GT. Dell and other OEM builders tend to skimp on PS wattage.
The Mini-Tower units have higher wattage PS than the Slim-Line's do. Slim-Lines also have much less expandability.

But you really need to find out power supply wattage as well as PCI Express slot support before you place any orders.
