Sorry for the mess but itchy finger wants me to seal the deal quick.

All for 665+ Tax. 22" Monitor is looking great.

This is for my friend who knows nothing about computers. Its an optiplex but do you think it will run a 9800GT in it?

Also the RAM...normal Ram?

Thanks...I'll be upgrading the HD and Video card for him soon.

The power supply likely won't run a 9800 GT.

Overall, I think the price is a little high, but not too bad considering the 3yr warranty.

Memory is likely Hynix, Infineon, ProMos, Nanya, or Elpida, and CL6, 1.8V standard stuff.

If you want something that can run a 9800 GT, you're gonna spend a little more. Dell's mid-range systems have been coming with one of two different PSU's. If you get the 300W without the 6pin, you're gonna have to replace it to run a good video card. Your best bets here would be a Studio 540 with a quad core or an Inspiron 530 with a quad core. Ordering with a quad core seems to drastically increase your odds of getting a PSU with two 12V rails and a 6pin power connector, which cards like the 9800 GT need. There are adapters out there, but these PSU's don't even have the 4pin molex power connectors.

Edit: "ENERGY SMART" - good way of getting a PSU that can't run a 9800 GT.

I know the Studio 540 ENERGY SMART comes with a 300W instead of the better 350W.
