Hey guys i was just about to fix my new HSF, Arctic Cooler Freezer 7 Pro. When i noticed that, if i lay the thing flat on the surface like as if it was fixed to a mobo. The HSF can rock/move sideway, you know like a kids cradle without the rocking effect. IS THAT NORMAL ???? I dont want to fit a broken HSF into my new case......SO PLEASE !!

Thanks to Navid...for your help in Cooling Section 😀

I have the AMD version and it doesn't rock. Mine was a bit concave and I lapped it to cure that but it never rocked. Does it do it if set on a flat piece of glass? If it does the base must be warped.

I have a AC Freezer7 pro and YES the bottom 'X' shaped attachment onto the copper base does rock. I'm guessing that it gives you a little bit more flexibility in installing the heat sink. When you install it should NOT rock though.

Happy Cooling. 😛
