Quick Question: Is ClearType Exclusive to Win XP? Or is it also in Win2k?

Confirmed. It's too bad though that Windows 2000 doesn't have it...Windows XP is just a little too bloated for my taste. 🙁

If you're talking about explorer, try litestep! It's not bloated at all, well... most themes. And it's completely customizable and everything. At first it might seem like it has tons of incompatibilities with games and full screen stuff and tons of hassles, but it's usually just a problem of some features overlapping others, which you can disable.

Yes, and you could disable system restore, kill the extra services, tweak the registry, etc., and all you'd end up with is basically Windows 2000. Why go to all the work? Unless you need XP because of some program or strange hardware that you have that is not supported by an NT kernel before XP, Windows 2000 is the way to go, IMHO.
