Quick question for those of you who have sold stuff on EBay

My mom's selling something on EBay and is having trouble with it (big surprise) so I'm going over to help her with it today. I've never sold anything on EBay, so I have a few questions:

1) She made it sound like there was some template she was going through to upload pictures and create a page. Does EBay offer a service like that? Is it any good?
2) If I wanted to make an HTML page on my own, how do I do that? Just make the page look right and submit it to EBay, or does it need special formatting?
3) Are there any common HTML features that I can't use on the page?
4) What's a good picture hosting service? I know pics.bbzzdd.com doesn't allow EBay referrals, do any of the others on here allow that like Entity's, or notfred's?

Ebay has something like a wizzard when you post your item. It's easy and efficent.

You can host one pic for free there, but its at the bottom and really unimpressive. I have no idea how people put pics in the actual add, ive tried that before and always get the little red X for pics. I would like to know the trick to that as well.

For the HTML, keep it simple, i think you can only get away with a limited set of tags. I usualy just make a page in MS word (because im lazy) and then save it as basic web page (filtered) That should take out all the extra junk leaving only simple html. There is a preview function, so if you want to try it out yourself you can test it before you actualy post it.

I think to have pics show out, you have to have your own hosting for the picture,

Write the HTML on Frontpage, Notepad or Dreamweaver and just copy it over.

From what I've heard from my wife (who used to work there) they offer you a page for whatever basic HTML you want to code. Picture must be hosted by you somewhere else.

I'm sure they have a basic wizard for those that don't know/understand HTML.

They do offer pic hosting. Free for the first one and (i think) .15 for each one after. You can link pics in the description section but they will not show up in preview, to me not a big deal. The entire process to set up an auction is stupid friendly in my opinion.
