Where do I get all drivers, ide, agp etc for sis 735 board (ecs k7s5a)? Windows XP will not put in DMA Mode I am stuck in pio mode :)
I tried to set to PIO 5 and auto and still all I get is pio mode transfer. The HDD is a wd 40gb 7200 rpm ATA 100 hdd. It is the only thing on the cable, it is primary, master. It is using the cable that came in the box with the MB (tried the one tat came with the HDD too)
Any Ideas?
Under device manaer I look at te controller and see that DMA if availible is selected, but it lists PIO Mode :(

BTW at default voltage on this board with a 1ghz axiar (10x100) I am at 1.33ghz (10x133) :)

Actually have been looking just cant find anything and don't have too much time. Just got the board in today and am trying to setup the system, still have to wait for video card to come in. So right now I am using a video card from another PC, and need to get it back in there before the wife comes home :) She is addicted to the internet :)

Anywho right now I just cant get UltraDMA enabled in Windows XP, and was wondering about other drivers and etc....

SiS driver page
You only need the AGP driver because the latest IDE driver should come with XP (Win2k SP2 has it).

To enable Ultradma, try going into the BIOS. Be sure to set the PIO mode to 5 because the board sets it to 4 as default.

I just noticed that when I set the PIO Mode to 5, after te post when the next screen that comes up that shows all system info, it still says PIO Mode 4..... :(
Yet my DVD Drive on secondary master has Multi-Word DMA 2 enabled.....

Heh just found something else out lol Don't know if this contributes or not to it.....
I accidentally formatted in NTFS, didn't even know I did
Could that be the reason I can only get PIO Mode on this?
