Quick Question DirectX 9.0c

I ran Aida and it told me I have Direct X 9.0

I ran Doom 3 and saw on the extra menu it had a menu option for directx 9.0B

I cancelled the setup and went to the windows update site and nothing was being offered to me to download.

Running XP Home SP2

I found link for Direct X 9.0c and downloaded a small file (Yes I do have internet connection)

I opened the small file and agreed to the Disclaimer etc..
I clicked next and it simply said Installation complete, everything is ready etc..No reboot. The whole took like 1 second.

In the past when I upgraded DirectX it would download more file from the web and ask me to reboot..

Then I see the 9.0C rebuild file for Developers is 33MBS

Am I missing something or just a rookie...

Go to start->run. Type in "dxdiag". In the System Information box, it will say exactly what version of DirectX you have following 'DirectX Version:'.

It says DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)

Would you agree?

Yes - SP2 adds DirectX 9.0c automatically.
