That should work just fine.

Cat 5 is certified for 10/100 ethernet, Cat5e is the same basic cable, just higher quality, and certified for Gigabit ethernet.
 
ok good... it is cat5e i ordered it already. Ill have 3 computers on the router. 2 of them will be hooked up with cat5e and the other will be on a 54mbps wireless card. (Linksys)
 
I like the gigabit LAN upgrade I did at the house. Transferred 5.x gigs of data from my wife's machine to mine in 2 minutes & 15 seconds...
