quick question bout dell restore cd

my company doesnt have a copy of windows xp
they only got the dell windows xp cd from their dell pc`s

would the dell restore cd work with a normal pc?
 
Aside from it being illegal in the first place, the Dell Restore CDs usually have a method of detecting the system that they are being installed on, and will not install on anything but their intended system.
 
The Dell OEM Key is specifically tied to that model type of hardware from Dell. -just like any other OEM vendor.

If you want to do you own imaging, you need to buy a corp/enterprise license for the OS or have a MS Select agreement. MS considers an "enterprise" license an upgrade to the base OEM license, and not a stand alone license.
