I have 512 crucial ECC ram that I want to use with an Asus p4pe. It will work ok, but won't have the ECC function, correct?

The specs seem to suggest not: specs
3 x 184-pin DIMM Sockets support max. 2GB PC2700/PC2100 (FSB533) or PC2100/PC1600 (FSB400) non-ECC DDR SDRAM memory
I tried to download the manual but their FTP site is down. As you say, it might be fine, many boards are that way... but at this point, without confirmation, you wouldn't want to assume. I do have the sibling's manual (P4GE) here in PDF format and nowhere does it say that ECC memory will work. It maintains that it must be non-ECC.
