I have 2 7800GT's, and recently installed VF-700 Zalman HS on them. My computer (opty rig in sig) is still not running, however I do have a date from ups (finally) that my mobo will come on the 9th.

Now, to get on to my question. I put on different RAM sinks then what came with the Zalman. I put on the OCZ Copper ones. Now, I know how to install them (that part is easy :p ). When I did, I noticed that the Zalman HS is touching two of the RAM sinks. I'll upload picture if you really need it. But when I did install the Zalman, the Zalman HS actually moved the 2 RAM sinks slightly back and on an angle. But, they didn't fall off, and I just applied a little pressure and there nice and on there.

My question, right...is it ok for the Zalman HS to be touching the two OCZ Copper RAM sinks?

I'll give more info/pics if needed.

Thanks for help! :p

I don't see there being a problem unless it interferes with the fan (doubtful) or if the ram sinks aren't getting proper contact with the ram chips

They are getting proper contact wit the ram, and it isn't interfearing with the fan. The only thing I was worried about was heat beging transfered from the Zalman to the RAM Sink.

Besides heat maybe transferring from the flower sink to the ram sink, i don't think it'll be a problem. i'm pretty sure it'll be fine. zalman vf700s are real nice aren't they ;D
