Quick question about unix

I have a program that is temporarily capturing some data to the hdd. What is the command line to check the available free space on the disk? I just don't want it to fill up and screw anything up (production system).

Not sure about your particular flavor of Unix, but either df -k or df -kv should give you what you are looking for.

df -h puts it in human readable output, but it isn't always available...

Once I got the df from aujames I just typed "use df" to bring up the man page.
df -h was right on top, Thanks n0cmonkey
