Quick Question about the Playstation 2

Now with the pricedrop I'm seriously considering getting one (even after telling myself that I will never buy another console for myself again)... I just have a couple questions. Does the PS2 have 4 controller jacks or 2, b/c I personally don't think it's worth it if it's only 2 player compatible.

Most sports games. Lots of other multiplayer games are usually just 2player.

Alright thanks... I love how response time here at anandtech is sooo quick. Post a question, press refresh and already you have a response, lol! In any case I think I'll just save my money or pick up a used dreamcast. Right now I'm just looking for a party system for my dorm.

xbox comes with 4, had a price drop, and is cool. get it.

I think Gamecube caters most for 4 player games. But I wouldn't get it until they get thier heads out of their arses and drop the price. Lots of REALLY fun party games... I remember playing so many hours of Mario Tennis on N64 in the dorms.

n64 owns when it came to dorm playability. we would sit down and play goldeneye for hours. And then we would play super smash brothers for a few hours, and then go back to goldeneye, and finish up the night with some mario cart.

Hehe... ahh the good times. Yeah, thats why I like the Gamecube PERSONALLY... The 4 player fun party type of games...still waiting for the price drop though. Bastards.
