I've got a PIII 700 and it won't go over 862Mhz. I get wierd problems and I don't think heat is an issue. Things like my keyboard doesn't work. Is this a sign of the chip not being able to handle the speed or is it the mobo and the clock generator?
If it is the keyboard that doesn't work, then I would guess that the it might be that the chipset doesn't like the FSB setting. Don't take me as the final word though.
