Quick question about selling a cell phone

I recently switched providers and am now looking to sell my nextel phone. My question is, do you include the sim card when you sell, or is another one provided when they activate the phone? I am guessing that once you cancel service, the sim card is deactivated and will be reactivated for the next person, but I just want to be sure. Thanks
 
umm i think you can sell the sim card, only if you totally erase anything on it. Take your address book and all that off.

I don't think you have to give away your SIM Card. You only sell the phone and they are provided with a new SIM Card when they signup for service.
