A friend of mines has a 50 or 52" Samsung LCD, so they definitely have LCDs in that size range.

What model specifically are you looking at?

I have a Samsung 52" LCD.

As for which is better - there's a lot of debate, but it depends on what you use it for. You'll have better blacks and richer colors on plasma, but SD tends to look better on LCDs. Also, if you play a console, I'd suggest LCD for that also.

Plasma is better than LCD unless you are the type the whines about power consumption and heat.

Hmm did you try going to SAMSUNG.COM? Is this a joke thread?

Anyway, plasma will generally give you the best picture, but consider an LCD if your room is bright and you will be doing most of your viewing during the day.

Some more than others, but mostly that's been resolved. Plasmas are most susceptible to burn-in within the first 100-150 hours of use, after that they're pretty impervious unless you leave something static on all night and all day. I accidentally left my new Pioneer on with the PS3 XMB showing for six hours or so, and I didn't even have any image retention, let alone burn-in.
