Quick question about resolution

Ok so I have a 2001fp that displays at 1600x1200 natively. When I first built my comp, I would see resolutions lower than 1600x1200 (1280x1024, 800x600, etc) take up the full screen. Now, they take up the exact size of that many pixels - ie, if its 800x600, it'll only show in a small box in the center of my screen.

The two places where the change was noticible was
i) on the windows startup (blue scrolling bars) screen which previously was full screen but no longer is.
ii) in 3dmark05, it runs at 1280x1024 so I get a black box around the image, and when it runs the CPU tests at 800x600, I get a really small window. Previously both of these were full screen.

Did I change a setting somewhere?

sounds like its cuz your running on a digital flat panel (DVI) ... this is normal
and easily able to turn off... go into nvidia and change digital flat panel settings

but trust me leaving it as is is a good idea since you wont get any scaling problems which will rape your image quality

I don't see a setting in the nvidia manager to change this.

btw, I don't mind the scaling since i game at the native resolution - scaling only occurs during the random things I mentioned above.

Both ends (the display itself and the graphics card) can scale the image to the display's native resolution, or don't. This can be configured on both ends, from the respective configuration menus. RTFM ;)
