Ok, I have a Microsoft Wi Fi network set up between my two home computers. My computer in the other room is the one hooked up to the printer. The thing is that when I try to print on it it won't let me until I search for the printer in the Find dialogue box then locate the printer, then type in a user name and password for the other computer then connect to the printer. I don't understand why I have to do this. The printer is in share mode and everything else on the network is working fine. Anyone have a solution so I don't always have to type in my user name and password and connect to the other printer before I start printing?

You need to help us out a bit. What OS's are you using? How do you have them networked? etc.

I would post this in the correct forum (Networking) but I believe you need a WAP which offers a print port (such as SMC 7004AWBR which I had and it sucked).

I'm sure there are other ways around it as well, the networking guru's should know.
