Quick question about Partition Magic 5

I have a laptop with a 10GB drive that I split into two 5 GB partitions with Partition Magic. I used partition magic so I wouldn't lose any data when I did the split. Now I'm ready to format my hard drive in order to install Windows 2000. Can I just use Fdisk to change the two partitions back into one, since I don't care about data loss now? Or does Partition Magic do something fancy behind the scenes that makes it necessary to use it to undo the split?

Boot off the W2K CD and do your repartitioning during the install. Just delete what is there and recreate it the way you want.
