quick question about network cables

I'm about to buy another network cable and I'm pretty clueless about all the options.

First off, what does NoBoot refer to?

I know that I'm supposed to get a Cat5 RJ45 cable, but do I get Patch or Crossover?

All I'm trying to do is a run a cable from my cable hub to my computer. I just want to make sure it's a good cable.

You need a standard CAT5 cable, not a crossover. The "no-boot" refers to the little rubber gizmo to keep the connector from snagging when you pull the cables around, it covers the locking tab.
