I've been looking for routers and found netgear to be among the best. I found the Rp614 and the RP614NA. What are the differences between the two??

Dunno. I can't seem to find anything but places to BUY the NA version, no reviews or explanations of it. Netgear doesn't list it as a separate version. Most of the places to buy it just list it as an RP614, then give the specific RP614NA model in the specs. I'm guessing the NA is just the exact model number of the general RP614 line.

Yah, LE's right. I have the RP614 as well, and I just checked my router software, ID plate on the router and the box itself. It says RP614 everywhere except one place, the UPC says RP614NA. I'm guessing the only difference might be NA = North America. I don't think that makes a difference when it comes to the actual hardware, perhaps the distinction is made for software languages, manual, documentation, etc.

Great router though, picked it up a while ago for $45 AR; I think there were a few deals on it for like $20-$30 AR though. :Q Much better than spending $22 on a cross-over cable, and the RP614 also has NAT hardware firewall.

Netgear MR814 wireless lovin' here :) Got a 30$ rebate, free Logitech clicksmart310 web/digicam and a 20$ rebate for it, and free shipping so I paid $50 total :sun: BTW, compared to the linksys I had it's mucho smaller and sleeker and works puuuurfect!

Ah, the North America angle didn't occur to me at all. That is the most likely reason. And in fact, searching for RP614AU results in Australian sites selling it. :-D
