Is it possible to Disable my DVD of reading everytime I hit My Computer or when my computer loads..not only is it loud, but it delays and affects preformance

I guess there is, but I didn't do it.

When I hit My Computer, my DVD does not start up.
The My Computer screen just pops up. DVD just sits there quiet and asleep.
 
If you have a disc in it will do what you described. Make sure there is no disk and it will not start when you load windows.
