I tried searching for the answer, but I didn't find anything that quite covered my question. For my new rig I'm building I bought 1GB of Kingston ValueRAM from Outpost.com. On the site's description it says "Each 184-pin DIMM uses gold contact fingers and requires +2.6V." The board I'm currently looking at is the K8N Neo4-F. It says in the specs that:
If I understand correctly all I need to do to get this RAM to work on this board is make sure the BIOS is set to +2.6v. It seems pretty simple, but I want to make sure the RAM I bought will work with this board. If someone can confirm this I'd appreciate it.
Due to the High Performance Memory design, motherboards or system configurations may or may not operate smoothly at the JEDEC (Joint Electron Device Engineering Council) standard settings (BIOS Default on the motherboard) such as DDR voltage, memory speeds and memory timing. Please confirm and adjust your memory setting in the BIOS accordingly for better system stability.
