Quick question about master/slave harddrives

Does the OS need to be on the master HD or will it boot just fine on the slave?

Depends on the BIOS/Mobo Manufacturer. Both my KT333 soltek and the Gigabyte K8T800 let me boot from secondary. However my ASUS K8T800 Bios only allowed me to select a master drive to load the OS.
