Quick Question about Maple

I'm a complete noob with Maple, but I've managed to do everything I've wanted to up until now.

I've come across a problem that when its derivative is taken, I get an answer that looks kind of weird. So logically, I take that problem and integrate it so see if I get back what I originally started with.

The thing is, I don't, and I want to know if there is a way to see the steps that Maple went through to derive the answer. I'm not sure if this is possible...all I really want is a breakdown of the steps for calculating the derivative.

If this isn't possible, does Mathematica or MatLab have a command for doing this? I think when I used Mathematica there was an option of sorts, I just can't recall it.

Thanks for any help/advice.
