Quick question about having slow RAM

Hi,

I have an Athlon 64 3200+ and with one stick of 512MB DDR400 and one stick of 512MB DDR266 RAM. Will having the DDR266 RAM in my system be a real bottleneck? How much of a performance hit will I have vs. having both sticks be DDR400?

Run the SANDRA Memory Bandwidth benchmark and PCMark05 test with the faster RAM.

Install the DDR266, repeat the tests, and compare the results.

This will give you some indication of performance difference - the rest you will notice (or not!) in real life (applications/games).
