how do i change my f: cdrom to be e: ? There is no E: atm it skips and gos to F:... i wanna change F: to E:

thanks 🙂

what OS are you using? in win2k and i believe xp too, you can do this.

START -> SETTINGS -> CONTROL PANEL -> ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS -> COMPUTER MANAGEMENT -> DISK MANAGEMENT and then right click on the cd rom and you should have the option of CHANGE DRIVE LETTER PATH

Do you already have a hard drive or another CD assigned to 'E' drive? If so, you will need to change that drives letter to free up E drive before you can change your F cdrom drive to E.

Edit: Removed three occurences of 'drive letter'!
