Quick question about digital cable through TWC

There is a very important football game on tonight (NCSU vs UNC) that is only available through TWC's digital cable channel 213. Now I would like to go over to my buddies house to watch it because he has the bigger tv, but no digital cable. If I took my digital cable box to his house and plugged it in, would I be able to recieve channel 213? Or does TWC have to enable the digital channels to his specific house?

No, i'm pretty sure it will work. They limit the digital channels through the cable box. That has to be registered in the system.

Actually I know it will work. I had a renter that left a digital cable box. I only had analog at the time. Hooked it up an worked for a few days until the service was cancelled.

err edit. does he at least have analog cable? if not then there will be a filter on the line.

edit again. Channels 100 and higher are supposed to be digital, or that's what they say

Unfortunately Digital Cable only usually cover the movie channels.
From what I remember the other channels weren't digital but analong.

He has TWC basic analog cable. So will it be able to work?

Should, it did for me. Like I said, I had basic analog cable. When the tenant moved out, I took the box home and hooked it up. Got speedvision and the rest for a few days until TW killed service to that box.
