Quick question about computer behavior when closing counter strike

Hi all,

I'm running a P4 2.4ghz with 512mb ddr ram and a 128mb agp card and I notice
when I exit out of counter strike that my hard drive light on the case flashes
for a pretty good while like something is unloading from either the ram or the
hard drive.

XP Pro is my OS.

Some times things get a litttle jerky while playing the game. I'm using a cable
internet connection.

Would more ram do me any good?
