quick question about belt sizes

if i'm a waist 33-34 in jeans, do i buy a 34 size belt or do i go one step up with 36?

I get belts that fit my largest size, but I also TRY the belts to make sure that I have some room if my body changes.

I think (not sure of this) that belt sizes refer to the middle hole in a belt. So, if you wear a 34 in jeans, the middle hole of a 34 belt would work for you. That gives you two inches in either direction with that belt should your weight change. I'm not sure of this, though.

Go for the 36. Anytime I've picked up a belt and it says it's Sized X, it means the actually length of material. So you need to get the next size up.
