Quick question about action potential

She says that the negative ions ( Cl- ) also come in and out of the cell. However there are only K+ and Na+ channels and I think Cl- just line up along the sides of the channel following the positve ions. Is this true or is she making stuff up as usual? thanks!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that potassium and sodium ions are the two main components of action potentials. I'd imagine that maybe a Cl- ion could slip through one of the channels every so often (hey, anything's possible), but from what I remember, there's no specific mechanism for their movement invoked by an AP.
