Quick question about a job offer letter ...

I received the offer letter last Saturday. I was planning on signing it, writing a thank you letter as well, and mailing it back to them today. However I was just wondering if this is the 'traditional' way to do it, or should I personally deliver the letter back to them, signed by me? Does it really make a difference either way? I personally don't think it matters either way, because I have the job either way. But I was just wondering which way is the 'better/traditional' way to do it, because this is my first job and I have never had this experience. thanks.

IF you can deliver it,do so; Shows enthusism (sp).

If you can not deliver it, call with acceptance and then mail it back to them.

This sounds like a sound plan.

nice idea. I think i will do that. i am going to call the guy and tell him I accepted it, and then I will drop it in the mail box. thanks for the plan 🙂

I've always verbally given acceptance and mailed the forms back. You're typically handing the forms off to an HR department anyway, so it's not like you'll be making an impression on anyone worthwhile.

Call them and see if they will give you more money. Then they will call you back with a yes or no. If they say no, say that you will let them know, and then call them back in a few hours. If they say yes, take it.

That's what I do.
