Quick question about a college resume

I'm currently making one for some research/internship things I'm applying to for the summer. I'm currently a freshman in college.

My question is this:

Do I include any high school awards and activities? Or would just listing my high school and "graduated Summa Cum Laude (96 overall GPA; 4.0/4.0)" suffice?

Adding awards and activities helps to show that you are an all-around person instead of a book worm w/ an excellent GPA, just my opinion, I hope it helps :)

Yeah, but that's for high school (that's what I'm asking).

Shall I restrict myself to college awards/activities/scholarships, or shall I actually include high school crap?

I'd say that if it's something really outstanding, then do it. Like maybe valedictorian or if you are an Eagle Scout. I wouldn't necessarily say that you were the section leader in band (drum major, maybe) or the captain of the chess club, but things that are really big as far as the school or extracurricular activities would probably be good. But college things are probably better.

Include everything, even things that aren't really important but have "smart" sounding names.

So is this o.k.?

ACTIVITIES/ ? Rice University Trustee Distinguished Merit Scholarship, 2002 ? 2006
AWARDS: ? Aga Khan Foundation Scholarship, 2002 ? 2006
? Rice Broadcast Television (Producer, Director, Cinematographer for various shows and short films), 2002 - Present
? Houston Hockey, 2002 ? Present, Round Rock Inline Hockey, 2001 - 2002
? All-Region Texas Band Member, 1999-2001
? National Honors Society, 2000 ? 2002
? Westbank Community Library Teen Volunteer, 1997 - 2000
? TCEA Computer Science State Championship Top 20 of ~75, 2000, 2001
? UIL Computer Science, 1st individual (2000), 2nd (2001), 1st team (2000 2001)
? 7th place (of 93), Round Rock Mathematics Invitational, 2002

Should I include National Merit (I wasn't a scholar, but I was something) and AP SCholar w/ Distinction crap from high school? That would barely push me over 1 page...I guess I could try to trim elsewhere. I have other stuff, like being an editor of the school newspaper, 1st chair honors band (no biggie), competed in some other contests, did some research at the local uni, other random stuff.

I don't know much about National Merit Scholars and all that other than the fact that it's good. Is AP Scholar with Distinction like graduating with honors or something of that nature? If so, you might include it if you've got space and feel like putting something else in. Just remember that you don't want to be going over a page but I don't think you want to include too much information on the one page you do use.

Edit: I think you might also want to list the things in some sort of definite order, too. Either chronological or most important, maybe. On mine, for instance, I have that I'm an Eagle Scout first thing because it's what I'm most proud of.

AP Scholar w/ Distinction has something to do with getting 5s on a lot of Advanced Placement Tests. Don't remember the exact criteria, but I got the award. I'll take your advice on re-ordering stuff.

Anyone else have an opinion on what I posted above? I really, really appreciate it.
