Quick question about 9700's

Hi, my Sapphire 9700 arrived today, I had a look at it and its got an extra power connector. I knew you had to connect the 9700 Pro to your hard drive power connector, but what about the regular 9700? I'm not planning on overclocking this so will I need to? It dosent say anything about it in the manual. Thanks.
 
All R300 varients HAVE to be hooked up to your power supply. These models are:
9700Pro
9700
9500Pro
9500
So, yes, you ,ust hook it up.
