Quick Question about 24" displays

I'm currently looking at getting a 24" LCD. I only game occasionally and I have an xbox 360 for that stuff. Most of what I do on the computer is audio production and web browsing/office stuff.

I'm currently looking at 2 models.

Acer AL2416WBsd Silver 24" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor 400 cd/m2 1000:1 - Retail :">http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16824009113</a>

Which I can get at microcenter for $320.

OR

SCEPTRE X24WG-1080P Black 24" 2ms Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 4000:1

Which will run $330 with shipping after rebate.

I think the SCEPTRE is way better and a better deal all around. I just wanted to confirm this with some experts. My friend said the ACERs are pretty popular (bang for buck). Granted I didnt ask him about the SCEPTRE, he was just saying that in a different context.

I'm leaning towards the SCEPTRE too because I've had great luck with them.
