I am considerring getting a HP Pavillion dv9700t laptop but cant choose between these 2 processors, I'm fousing on performance:

Intel(R)Core(TM) 2 Duo Processor T8300 (2.4 GHz, 3 MB L2 Cache, 800 MHz FSB)

Intel(R)Core(TM) 2 Duo Processor T9300 (2.5 GHz, 6 MB L2 Cache, 800 MHz FSB)

price difference it $50........ i'll be playing like NFS, Soccer games, some video editing and just running other windows applications.

Any suggestions?

Well, if the $50 cannot be better applied elsewhere (RAM, laptop bag, ice cream sundae) then I would get the 2.5GHz CPU just because really.

like stu said, if you dont need it spent elsewhere, that is, if youre on a tight budget and the decision is another gig of ram, or the cpu upgrade....get ram. if the budget has some room in it and youre happy with the ram...get the cpu.

its 50 bucks. with the price of a laptop, thats not much unless youre really strained to pay for it in the first place.
