Quick Q regarding Linux NTFS read support

Kadarin

Lifer
I remember reading somewhere a while back (like a year or two ago) that NTFS read-only support worked with the version of NTFS used in WinNT, but not with Win2K. I'm looking at this with regard to setting up a future dual-boot of Mandrake 9.2 on my Win2K box which is currently entirely NTFS, and the documentation I've looked at isn't totally clear to me on this. Is it safe to assume the read-only NTFS driver works fine for NTFS used in Win2K and XP? I know NTFS read-write is a lost cause... 🙁
